Kauai is one of the oldest islands in the Hawaiian chain.
Its
volcanoes have long been extinct. As a result its mountains and valleys
have had much more time to be eroded and carved out by the continuous
and persistent tradewinds and ocean waves. The remote and impassable
jungles, cliffs, mountains and valleys of Kauai hide some of the world's
most spectacular scenery.
The first helicopter tours to operate in the Hawaiian Islands were on
Kauai and that was no mistake. It is still the most remarkable activity
on the island.
Just as memorable, however, is a trip by zodiac, snorkeling and
sightseeing along the inspiring Na Pali coastline. There is no set of
ocean cliffs and sea caves anywhere in the world to rival this place.
Winter waves and sea conditions make this a mostly summer activity.
Marlin, ahi, ono, and aku are found in abundance off Kauai's south and
east coasts. There also are special charters available that will carry
you near the private island of Niihau to fish for giant tuna and marlin.

KAUAI BACKCOUNTRY TUBING ADVENTURES - Traverse Lihue's old sugar
cane plantation into Kauai's pristine emerald green interior and enjoy
breathtaking vistas and spectacular scenery. Then, grab a tube, don a
headlamp, and jump in for a leisurely cruise. Witness Kauai's
spectacular engineering feats as you float down the tropical waterway
consisting of open ditches, tunnels and flumes all of which were
engineered and hand dug circa 1870. At the end of your tubing adventure,
you will be guided to an enchanted picnic area for a great picnic lunch
next to a natural swimming hole. Great for the entire family.
Ages 5 and older, children under 14 must be accompanied by an
